TikTok Ads Library in Morocco: how to analyse your competitors’ ads
TikTok’s official library does not cover campaigns that run only in Morocco. Which tools to use to see the TikTok, Meta and Google ads in your market, and how to turn them into better creative.
Before launching a TikTok campaign, looking at what advertisers in your sector are doing avoids many mistakes: formats that work, hooks, offers, video length. You still need to know where to look, because the “TikTok Ads Library” actually covers two different tools.
Two official tools, two uses
- The Commercial Content Library (library.tiktok.com): TikTok’s ad transparency library. It lists ads shown in Europe (European Economic Area, Switzerland, United Kingdom), with the advertiser, run dates and estimated reach.
- The Creative Center and its Top Ads section (ads.tiktok.com/business/creativecenter): a selection of high-performing ads, filterable by region, industry and objective, designed for creative inspiration.
What the library does not show in Morocco
A campaign that runs only in Morocco does not appear in the Commercial Content Library, whose coverage is limited to European markets subject to digital services regulation. For the Moroccan market, the Creative Center is the starting point: check whether Morocco is offered in the Region filter. If not, choose markets that are close in language or habits (France, Gulf countries) for creative inspiration, keeping in mind that offers and prices do not transfer.
Complete the picture with Meta and Google
Most Moroccan advertisers on TikTok also run ads on Instagram and Facebook, and many on Google: see our Meta Ads or Google Ads comparison. Meta’s Ad Library shows the active ads of any page, including in Morocco: it is often the most complete source for following a competitor. Google’s Ads Transparency Center shows the Search, YouTube and Display ads of verified advertisers.
Meta Ad Library: how to use it for Morocco
Meta’s Ad Library (facebook.com/ads/library) is the most complete tool to watch a competitor in Morocco: it shows every active ad running on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and the Meta Audience Network, whatever the country.
- Choose the country “Morocco” and the category “All ads”.
- Search by page name or keyword (product, city, offer).
- For each ad, read the start date, the platforms and the different versions of the creative.
- Filter by platform or media type (image, video) to spot the formats that last: an ad that has been running for a long time is often a profitable one.
Apart from political or social-issue ads, only active ads are visible for Morocco: check the library regularly to follow how a competitor’s campaigns evolve.
A simple four-step method
- List five to ten competitors or benchmark brands in your sector.
- Collect their active ads on Meta, Google and, where possible, TikTok.
- Note the format, the hook in the first three seconds, the offer and the call to action for each one.
- Draw three to five creative ideas to test, rather than copying an existing ad.
On TikTok, creative drives performance
On TikTok, targeting matters less than the video itself: vertical format, immediate hook, pace, captions, a native rather than advertising tone. The ads that work look like content from the platform. Competitor analysis helps you understand the codes of your market, not reproduce them.
Observe to understand what your audience expects, then test your own ideas.
Before launching your TikTok campaigns
- Install the TikTok pixel or Events API to measure leads and sales.
- Prepare several video variants to test hooks.
- Enter the ad account’s tax details: TikTok applies 20% VAT to Moroccan advertisers without a valid business identifier.
- Plan a fast, mobile-first landing page.
