The electronic label, in detail.
ZKONG labels managed by TOPSYS combine an e-paper screen, signal LEDs and wireless communication. Beyond prices, they help with stock, order picking, guiding customers and the store’s image.
The ZKONG label: 256-colour LED, display refreshed in seconds, wide temperature range, customisable look and Bluetooth wireless connection (BLE 5.0).
Electronic shelf label functions
The label automatically rotates several pages: member price, weekly offer, promotion… Ideal when prices change often.
Housing, frame, colours and logo can be customised: the label can even sit in a leather finish, as here in a furniture store.
When your management system is connected, the stock shown on the label updates at the same time as the inventory.
When the number of products on the shelf falls below the set threshold, the label’s LED flashes to alert staff.

What is an electronic shelf label (ESL)?
A small e-paper screen fixed to the shelf in place of the paper label. It shows the product name, price, a promotion, a barcode or a QR code, and is updated remotely from the store software, with no reprinting.
What is TOPSYS ESL?
An electronic shelf label (ESL) solution connected to TOPSYS, the retail management platform built by Mohtaoua. Prices and promotions changed in TOPSYS appear automatically on the e-paper labels in the aisles.
How are shelf prices updated?
You change the price once in TOPSYS. The update goes through the ZKONG cloud, then the store’s base station sends it wirelessly to the relevant labels.
Can promotions be scheduled?
Yes. You set the start and end date and time of each promotion: the promotional price appears and then disappears automatically on the shelf.
Which sectors is TOPSYS ESL suited to?
Supermarkets and markets, parapharmacies, perfumeries, grocery stores, fresh produce, store networks and franchises, as well as hotels and buffets, to display each dish’s name and details.
Can labels be managed from a phone?
Yes. The mobile app lets you link a product to its label or unlink it, scan in the aisle, change the display template, update a label by NFC (NFC Flash) and set how the LEDs flash, which also helps locate products. LCD screens are managed from the same app.
Which labels and screens do you offer?
Hardware from the manufacturer ZKONG: the Valley, Quantum, Shield, Blade, Arrow, Essence and Fashion e-paper label series (1.3″ to 31.5″, black, white, red, yellow or full colour, with models for sub-zero cold) and the Sparkle and Legendary LCD screens.
Does it work across several stores?
Yes. A dashboard brings together the labels of all your stores: connected or offline labels, pending updates, battery status and recent activity. Pricing is on quotation.
How much do electronic shelf labels cost in Morocco?
The price depends on the number of labels, the formats, the number of base stations for the store’s surface, the number of stores and the integration with your software. We prepare a quote after a demonstration and a survey of your aisles.
